Arwen is a very shy chinchilla, however, if you come into his territory when he's not wanting attention he likes to bark. He does on ocassion nip, but nothing bad. Over the years hes mellowed out a little & I think in the years to come will mellow more & more. He's a wonderful chinchilla, but is a little bit of a slow breeder if he's with more than one female.
