Chinchillas cannot get fleas, or lice, they simply cannot burrow through the fur; it's too dense.

The chinchillas have amazingly soft fur, the fur is very very soft, & the tail is rough.

To keep your chinchillas fur clean you will need to bathe them in a dust bath about twice a week or so. They cannot have their fur get wet, it can ruin the quailty of it.

The dust helps the chinchilla get rid of all the oils from our hands, their bodies, & the humidity in the air. I prefer the dust called blue cloud!
