Caging & Housing

It’s good to have plenty of choices for your glider to hideout & play in. I have a ton of pouches in their cage, as well as hide outs, tubes, a  basketball hut & SO MUCH more!

They like things to burrow in. I also put a shirt with my smell on it in their cage as a nest in their basketball. The basketball works great since they pee & poo on almost everything of theirs. The pee & poo just either falls or runs right off, & all you have to do is rinse it weekly, or put it in the dishwasher. (Just make sure if you use one you wash it before you use it for the first time.) It has a dust in it & will smell like strong rubber after you cut it apart!

Never use magazines newspaper, or cedar bedding. The ink is bad for them & the dust from the bedding could cause breathing problems.

Give your gliders a lot of toy choices as well, they love to play, if your toy has a bell make sure there is no way for them to get it loose & choke on it.

Mine like stuffed animals, a candyland piece, monkeys in a barrel, ropes, & so on! haha! They also baby toys like pacifiers, keys, & lots of other things.

I have a plastic plant in their cage & that to be inspected often to make sure its not a choking hazard.

Be creative with your cage, but BE SAFE! They can get stuck in things, choke, other things can be toxic to them, they may be able to get their tails caught & so on.
