Hind Leg Paralysis (HLP)

Low calcium levels result in calcium being sucked from bone to compensate for the low calcium in the bloodstream. (low calcium is caused by feeding too much phosphorous & or not enough foods high in calcium.)

This condition can be fatal if not treated, but if Vet. care is gotten it is likely (depending on the stage or the illness) it may be reversible.

Try to feed them a high calcium, low phosphorous diet.

Symptoms are weakness, limping, lethargy, paralysis, & or broken bones.
