Temperament is generally good, if you work with them, you can’t just expect to be its bestfriend the first night. This normally takes a good few months at very least!

When you get your new glider you will be excited, but its important that you not disturb them. Set the cage somewhere quiet & where they can see you. Try not to move the cage often though, that will cause unwanted stress for your glider. When the cage is by you, make sure to not stare at them, let them check you out first.

You should wear a shirt or piece of fleece for about a week at night to get your smell on it. Night time is the best time when you can actually get a smell on it without perfume, etc. Wear it for a few days. Get it nice & smelly, then put that in the pouch, or hut with your gliders.

Try giving them licky treats, such as baby foods, yogurt, juices.. You never should grab the glider out of the cage, this will make them more afraid. Give them time to warm up to you. Put your hand in the cage & look away, then they will then start to sniff you & will remember your scent from your shirt you placed in there over & over.  Let them walk into your hand, it’s easy to make them tame if they like treats a lot, just lure them to you.

A bonding pouch is also a VERY good thing to use. You can either put them in your shirt or make a little fleece or other warm fabric pouch for you to ware around you neck. I take mine EVERYWHERE!!

This really helps the bonding process. They have no choice that way, it’s either bond, or be unhappy in a little bag that a huge monster wears around.  The more you take them places & the longer you work with them at night will help that much more to get your new loyal friend bonded.

As soon as your bonded enough, your glider will glide on out of the cage for you. Then you can also take them basically anywhere, seeing no one even knows you have them, unless they make the noise.(most people don’t even know what it is though, since it’s a weird noise. They tell me, ‘your cell phone is ringing’.. I think yeah, sure it’s my cell phone.) Haha! -If they only knew!
