Well, today marks the beginning of updating my site! Im excited, but dreading it as i know its going to be a task & a half.
I want to include more updates for people to read as far as whos currently in breeding, when babies are born, how they are developing, & just how the herds are doing in general.
I think it should be a little easier now that that wedding, the trip, & the reception are over. Wooo Hoo for time!
The chinchillas fur took a beating this past month. Only one dusting a week, then the week i was gone without one the whole time. Yikes, have i got work to do getting them back to their prime. =] It could be worse though. No one is ill, everyone did well for my cousin while we were gone, & a few days after returning home, we had a kit born! Should have named him Jamaica or something resembling the trip. =] Success other than their fur, i cant be too upset with that. I hate leaving them with other people, but they were in great care.
I'm really looking forward to culling the herd a little too as summer/fall goes on. I have some smaller females i would like to sell. I want to get some herd improvers. I have made the plunge & decided some of our breeders (PETS) will be going to pet only homes. Its a hard choice as i have had some of them quite some time now. But in the long run, i think it will do wonders on my lines. Especially Cheech, Catacomb & Widow!
Well, yay for getting things going again!
I think this coming year i will have the best kits i have bred yet! I have a feeling about this line.. . . . . . . . ..Heres to a 'dusting' to a great year!
